Quang Binh
(VNA) – The central province of Quang Binh, which is a popular tourist
destination thanks to its rich natural landscapes with a spectacular cave system
and beautiful beaches, has prepared diverse tourism products to draw domestic
and foreign tourists during this year’s peak tourism season in summer.
Hoang Minh Thang,
Director of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Centre, said that right from the
beginning of this year, the centre has focused on upgrading local tourism
infrastructure to ensure best experiences for visitors.
At the same time, it has worked hard to
develop and diversify tourism products and services to lure more holidaymakers.
One of the new products is a night tour to
explore 4,500m of Phong Nha Cave, along with camping and trekking tours
along streams.

Currently, the
provincial Department of Tourism is also coordinating with the Management Board
of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and relevant agencies to provide adventure
tours to explore the national park and local cave system.
Alongside, the centre has focused on
developing human resources for the tourism sector by coordinating with
local training facilities, while applying measures to ensure food safety, said
Thang.
Quang Binh boasts rich tourism resources
and is home to the Phong Nha -Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the world’s largest cave Son Doong.
The province also has the longest coastline in Vietnam, with beautiful beaches
and delicious seafood. It was chosen as one of the filming destinations of the
Hollywood blockbuster movie “Kong: Skull Island”.
After two years of
struggling with difficulties from the COVID-19 pandemic, the local tourism sector
has strongly recovered and developed.
This year, Quang Binh
aims to receive 3-3.5 million visitors, including 100,000 foreigners, earning
3.4-3.9 trillion VND (144.12-165.32 million USD)./.
